Sh-sh-sh-SHOWCASE!
Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've made a real post-- sorry. School DOES take priority over blogging. :) but I have an ANNOUNCEMENT!
For those who don't know, I played some of my originals in the YMAD benefit concert Mark Macey and Eded Rabdeau (sp?) put on. I didn't know if people would like the stuff, but I did it anyway. I've now gotten e-mails, thank you cards, phone calls, and texts asking when my next performance is and why I don't play more! I can't believe it! I was actually hesitant about even performing in the first place, but now I'm SO happy I did!
I'm playing at a ward party a week from Wed, which will be great fun, but THEN I'm having a showcase in July! I will sing probably four numbers I've worked on with my teacher, a Norah song (to add some style you know? ;))probably two of my own songs, and come what may from Moulin Rouge with a guy from school. I might put a few more in there somewhere but that's the rough outline right now. Come one come all! It won't cost any money to get in or anything, but I will have a basket by the door at the end excepting donations that I'll give to Eden or Mark for their YMAD trip. I'll post again with all the information of exactly when, where, and all that jazz.
